Have you heard of Melt? Melt is a chocolate shop in London that sells some very intriguing flavoured chocolate, hot chocolate spoons, truffles, and more; All of which are vegetarian and vegan-friendly. You can imagine my excitement when I discovered this!
The shop itself was petite, cute, and very inviting, and the lady working there was polite and friendly. A fun extra touch is that they also offer chocolate-making classes, which adds to the charm of the experience.
Now, on to the important part the review of the chocolate bars I picked up from Melt. I chose three flavours:
Toast & Marmalade ⭐⭐⭐
Popcorn ⭐⭐⭐
Milk Chocolate ⭐⭐⭐
The chocolate was lovely, with a soft, creamy, melt-in-the-mouth texture. I really enjoyed the richness of the chocolate flavour. However, I found it hard to detect the toast & marmalade and popcorn flavours, which was a bit disappointing since those unique combinations were the main reason I chose them.
The other reason I gave all three flavours three stars was because of the price, which I felt was quite high for the size of the bars and lack of flavour. What initially drew me in were the creative flavour options and the beautiful packaging. I tried to keep an open mind about the cost, but even though the chocolate was nice, I personally don’t think it justified the price. The chocolate itself didn’t feel particularly special or distinctive in flavour beyond the smooth texture.
